The Save the Singletree Benefit Concert & BBQ takes place on Sunday, August 20, 2017, from 1:00 to 8:00 pm in the restaurant parking lot. There will be several bands playing Jazz, Rock, Blues and Mexican Music. Food will include barbecue, salads, side dishes and desserts. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

About the Singletree…

Singletree Café is a historic Healdsburg landmark, with many long time locals remembering when it operated as Lonnie’s back in 1962 and where comic Pat Paulsen announced his candidacy for President of the United States in 1968. He made the announcement on the patio of the restaurant.

Eighteen years ago, after their Guerneville restaurant near the Russian River flooded not once but twice, Singletree owners Nancy Van Praag and Dolores Rodriquez decided to make a change. Nancy saw an ad in The Press Democrat that a coffee house in Healdsburg was for sale. “Our main desire was to operate a local business that supports the community,” notes Van Praag, “and the breakfast and lunch diner format also appealed to me after many years of working long restaurant hours.”

But since the major Healdsburg Avenue Improvements Project started over a year ago with no end in sight for completion until 2018 or beyond, Singletree is deeply feeling the financial effects and is worried that they will have to shut their doors…

7:00 to 8:00: Blues Rocket (Classic Rock, Blues & Soul)
