The Members-Only Party is an annual event free to members of Healdsburg Jazz. To learn more about Membership visit this page, or make sure you get your invitation by joining now.

If you are a member, you will receive an invitation to this party in your email. There is no way to register for the party on this site.

We’ll have complimentary food, a choice of local wines donated by our sponsors, and music from the Rob Sudduth Quintet, a hard bop band with the classic front line of trumpet and saxophone, playing the works of Art Blakey, Horace Silver, Donald Byrd, a style that came to represent, for many, the sound of jazz.

The Quintet celebrates the classics while offering new works in the tradition. The band includes Sudduth on saxophone, Henry Hung playing trumpet, Ben Stolorow on piano, Miles Wick on bass and Ron Marabuto, drums.

Sudduth is a native of Sonoma County who came up playing in the blues bars and jazz clubs of San Francisco, and spent a decade in New York City which  brought another level of the music’s history into the mix.  He has performed at the Montreux, Monterey and Montreal jazz festivals, famed clubs Birdland in NYC and Oakland’s Yoshi’s, and has performed widely in Italy.

As a leader he has released “Just One of Those Things: Music Inspired by Frank Sinatra” on A Records (The Netherlands) and “Four Now” on the Philology label (Italy). Since 1994 he has toured, composed and recorded with Huey Lewis and the News, and can be heard on Norah Jones CD “Not Too Late.”

This fun event is to thank you for your continued support. To verify your membership information, please contact our office at info@healdsburgjazz.org or phone (707) 433-4633.
